Yes, we already have pumpkin on the brain.

Even at the summer’s peak, when the sun turns city sidewalks stovetop-hot and beachgoers bask beneath colorful umbrellas, some fall worshippers are wondering, hey, when are Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes coming back?
Now autumn anticipators have their answer: The iconic seasonal coffee drink will return to Starbucks locations nationwide on Tuesday, August 26. Mark your calendars, PSL fans.
For those keeping track, 2025 will be the 22nd year the iconic beverage, which is made with actual pumpkin, will be here to mark the unofficial beginning of fall for those who like to mark it a bit early. Seasonal purists, however, may want to note that the official first day of fall (a.k.a., the autumn equinox) is actually not until September 22, 2025, at 2:19 PM EDT in the Northern Hemisphere, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.
As usual, the PSL will arrive with other fall menu items: Returning beverage favorites include Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai and Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte.
At the same time, two new items — a Pecan Oatmilk Cortado and Italian Sausage Egg Bites — will make their debut.
While information about the two new menu items is scant, Starbucks introduced a Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte (available in both hot and iced versions) in September 2024, Food Network contributor Megha McSwain described the drink as one that combined “the fragrant aroma and flavor of homemade pecan pie with oatmilk and Starbucks blonde espresso” and was “garnished with a layer of pecan crunch.”
Starbucks describes its regular Cortado as “three ristretto shots of Starbucks Blonde Espresso” that provide “a smoother, sweeter, and richer espresso profile” combined with “perfectly steamed whole milk for a velvety texture and balanced flavor.”
Perhaps the new drink will be a mashup of these two beverages? If so, it sounds delicious.
The Italian Sausage Egg Bites, meanwhile, follow other Starbucks Egg Bite options, including Bacon & Gruyère, Egg White & Roasted Red Pepper and Kale & Mushroom. All three are described by Starbucks as “cooked using the French ‘sous vide’ technique to create a velvety texture that’s full of flavor.”
In addition to the return of the iconic PSL and other fall drinks and launch of the two new seasonal menu items, Starbucks will bring a lineup of returning seasonal, limited-time-only, ready-to-drink beverages to retailers nationwide starting in early August.
Summer may be in full swing, people, but autumn drinks are nearly at hand.
