Ranch fans, Chipotle has your number — and soon, your sauce. The restaurant chain is set to launch its first new dipping sauce in more than five years, and that “bold” and “craveable” new menu flavor is Adobo Ranch.
Chipotle’s first new dip since it debuted Queso Blanco in February 2020, Adobo ranch will arrive at restaurants across the United States and in Canada on Tuesday, June 17. That day, Chipotle Rewards members can try it for free.
(If you don’t already have an account and want to nab the deal, you need to sign up — here in the U.S. and here in Canada — by 11 p.m. local time on Monday, June 16. New Chipotle Rewards members also get an offer for free guac when they enroll.)
Described as a “smoky, spicy twist on America’s beloved dipping sauce” that is “made fresh in Chipotle restaurants” using real ingredients and no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, the new dipping sauce features adobo pepper, sour cream and a mix of herbs and spices. Chipotle says it will bring a “craveable kick” to your go-to burrito, bowl, salad, taco or quesadilla.
The new dip’s introduction reflects the increasing popularity of ranch dips and dressings, which reportedly surged past ketchup as America’s top condiment in 2024.
“Ranch has become a cultural phenomenon, especially among Gen Z, who are finding creative ways to enjoy it beyond the traditional salad,” Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s president and chief brand officer, said in a press release. “Our new Adobo Ranch taps into this passion, giving fans a craveworthy way to customize their Chipotle order with a completely new flavor.”
You can enjoy the new Adobo Ranch dipping sauce on whatever you like, but Nevielle Panthaky, vice president of culinary at Chipotle, suggests you try it as a dip for your quesadilla or douse your tortilla chips with it before tossing them into a burrito bowl.
But hey, ranch fans, you do you.
