Bio
Alyssa Kaufman Kopp is a freelance writer/director/producer for HGTV and its sister networks. She currently produces branded and original content for the HGTV Dream Home, HGTV Smart Home and HGTV Urban Oasis franchises as well as creates original content for popular online series HGTV Renovation Stories and HGTV Home Tours. She has more than 20 years of experience as a content creator in the lifestyle programming space.

Experience
Alyssa began her career as a production assistant while studying Radio, TV, and Film at Auburn University. Shortly after graduation, she was offered an associate producer position for the brand-new series Trading Spaces where she stayed for multiple seasons, working her way up to producer/director and receiving her first prime-time Emmy nomination for "Best Special Class Series."
After several years spent in New York City working on other popular lifestyle series such as What Not to Wear and While You Were Out, for which she earned her second Emmy nomination; Alyssa relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to work for TBS on their Saturday morning interstitial Movie and a Makeover where she became the post-production supervisor. She went on to become the series producer for multiple lifestyle shows for HGTV such as Deserving Design, Live in Vern’s House and Designed to Sell.
In 2010, Alyssa joined forces with colleagues to start Flynnside Out Productions, a full-service boutique production company specializing in short-form lifestyle content. Most notably, they have provided nearly all of the digital content for HGTV Dream Home, HGTV Smart Home, and HGTV Urban Oasis since 2015 and co-produced the series Mind for Design for the Magnolia Network.
In addition to her professional work, Alyssa lives in Atlanta with her husband, Dan, and their two busy children, Charlie and Lea. When Alyssa is not working, she can be found designing and renovating their home, planning their family’s next vacation, or volunteering at her children’s schools.
Education
Alyssa received a BA from Auburn University in Radio, TV, and Film.
